The Ponte Vecchio or Old Bridge, is the oldest bridge of Florence and it is one of the symbols of the city and definitely one of the most charming place in town for walking...
The Ponte Vecchio district is one of the most lively of the city and you can find here fashion shops of every kind, leather shops, bars, pubs, clubs, restaurants... If you live in this area you'll easily reach in 5-10 minutes by walk all the main monuments of the city like the Uffizi Gallery, Boboli Garden, Palazzo Pitti, Palazzo Vecchio and the magnificent city Cathedral... To live here will be a great experience, especially if you'll spend in Florence a short break stay...the area is in fact wonderful but, as you can imagine, is full of tourists 365 days/year and you could be annoyed after a while... Even if the location is great we recommend you to choose restaurants or bars in other areas of the city like San Niccolò, Sant'Ambrogio or San Lorenzo, where the quality/price ratio is much better because more florentines live in these areas... |
