» Piazza Libertà
|
Piazza Libertà is located on the border of the historical centre of the city, characterized by the large boulevards that circumnavigate the square – Viale Don Minzoni, Viale Spartaco Lavagnini, Viale Matteotti..
This is a high traffic area, mostly inhabited by florentines. From here, the district of Le Cure is easily accessible (a lively, popular district inhabited mainly by Florentines) and the Stadium Franchi (where Fiorentina plays) area, a green district where you can find the Hall of Sports (mainly for Basket and Concerts), the Rugby and the Baseball Stadium and several gardens and parks where you can go jogging. If you decide to live here you should plan to buy a bicycle in order to easily reach, via allocated bicycle lanes, the centre of the city. In this mode, you can expect to be in the thriving heart of the city within 10-15 minutes. If you come by car, the parking situation here is much less dramatic than in the centre of the city (where it's almost impossible to park). On the big boulevards, parking is relatively easy; ask your landlord the tricks to parking (times, places etc)! Piazza Libertà and Viale Don Minzoni are very close to Villa Rossa (5-10 minutes by bicycle/foot), where the Syracuse University in Florence is based. If you live in the vicinity of Piazza Libertà or Viale Don Minzoni these are the distances from the main city attractions: Duomo (Cathedral) – 10-15 minutes by bicycle For more info about this district or about accommodation in this area do not hesitate to contact our staff info@apartmentsinflorence…and …enjoy your stay in Florence!! |
