Home cooked Tuscan typical dishes that you can enjoy in the heart of Florence historical center, a few steps from the Santa Maria Novella central rail station and Cathedral Square (Piazza del Duomo).

The real Florentine beefsteak, fresh fish dishes, all kind of 'pasta', great choices of typical gourmet specialties directly from the art of Tuscan cooking served together with the famous wines of our cellar. Banquet room and special menus for groups.

The restaurant 'Giglio Rosso' is here, in a palace located in the heart of Florence historical center, since the year 1927, a few steps away from Santa Maria Novella square and the central rail station, Cathedral Square (Piazza del Duomo) and all the main monuments and museums of the city.

In or halls you can experience and taste the traditional Florentine and Tuscan 'art of cooking' thanks to our fresh 'pasta' handWhork produced every day, at the typical beef meat of Chianina breed cooked on the 'real' grill, at the fragrance coming out of our cellar filled with an excellent choice of Tuscan and Italian wines. Due to its location in one of the most tourist streets of Florence you may think that this could be a tourist place with poor quality food and high price menu! Not at all, the food here was genuine and very good...I especially loved the meat with potate arrosto..! I would recommend this place.

last time i was in florence my cab driver recomended this ristoranti. the cingualli was to die for, but best of all is their carbinara. we went back for dinner there our last night in florence and the carbinara was off the menu. our waiter, franco, actually went back into the kitchen and made it for me himself. this is now my favorite place to eat dinner in all of florence. incedible food and warm family service!!!!!!! do not miss this place

Ate there three times during the week we were in Florence. The food was really good, the service mostly excellent, the wine list is good (the vino chianti della rosa is a great value).

I lived for 3 months in the same building of Giglio Rosso restaurant...I have been there several times..(7/8!) and every time they served very fresh and perfectly cooked food..I would recommend this place to everybody! Et...bon Apetit!;)
